Harry Leon McKinney, Sr. 81, of Seelyville died 8:08 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at his residence.

Born March 2, 1922, in Brazil, he was the son of Edward McKinney and Ethel (Crabb) McKinney.

On January 25, 1942, in Brazil, he married Bertha Jean Holley who survives.

He served during World War II in the U.S. Army Headquarters Company 131st Armored Ordinance Maintenance Battalion.

He retired from Doxsee Foods. He attended Seelyville Wesleyan Church and was a member of VFW Post 972 of Terre Haute.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Chole Beatrice McKinney, Helen McKinney Smith, Minnie McKinney; four brothers, Clifford McKinney, Carl McKinney, Robert McKinney, James McKinney; a son, Harry L. McKinney Jr.; and 1 great-grandson, Justin Judson.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Jean McKinney; a son and two daughters-in-law, Mark McKinney and wife Rita of Terre Haute, Sharon Crabb of Terre Haute; five daughters, Ethelmae Graham and husband, Jesse, of Seelyville, Carolyn Robinson and husband, Larry, of Brazil, Sheralyn Stewart and companion Jesse Redifer Jr. of Knightsville, Iris Kathleen Fagg and husband, Ron, of Seelyville, Linda Graham and husband, Tom, of Seelyville; a sister-in-law, Margaret Davis of Brazil; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Anna Mary Dickinson of Terre Haute, Maudie Dickinson of Brazil, Sarah Schaurpel of Terre Haute, Helen Louise Craig and husband, Wendell, of Indianapolis; two brothers, John McKinney and wife, Nadine, of Brazil, George McKinney and wife, Kate, of Indianapolis; and three sister-in-laws, Patricia McKinney of Brazil, Vera Holley of West Terre Haute and Pearl Holley of Brazil.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Burk officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 -- 8 p.m. Wednesday.
