Minnie M. Harden, 101, of Clay City died at 12:01 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 7, 1902, in Clay City, she was the daughter of George and Ora May Addy Hines who have preceded her in death.
A homemaker she was a member of Cory Zion United Church of Christ. She loved sewing, quilting and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Granville Rector, who died on March 12, 1935, her second husband, Henry Harden, who died Jan. 5, 1962, three sons in infancy, Warren Rector and twins Roy L. and Ray C. Rector, a daughter, Ruby Corey and husband, Elsworth, a brother, Kenneth Hines and a sister, Clara E. Hines.
Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Norma Lee Rector of Clay City and Norma Jean Rector of Center Point; a sister-in-law, Mary Harden of Clay City, a stepson, Ray Harden of Greentown, Ind., 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and other extended family members.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 pm at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Anthony Ferriel officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
