Carl W. Tresner, 60, of Reelsville, Ind., and formerly of Dana, Ind., died at 9:25 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, in the emergency room of Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle.
Born Feb. 17, 1943, in Dana, he was the son of the late Harry and Bonnie Bennett Tresner.
He was a correctional sergeant with the Indiana State Farm at Putnamville, Ind, and he had served with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Herrington Tresner, whom he married Feb. 8, 1961, in Oakland, Ill.; two sons, Carl W. Tresner Jr., of Brazil and Clifford Wesley Tresner of Monroe, La.; a daughter, Roxanna Vandergriff of Dana; four brothers, Floyd Tresner of Paris, Ill., Wilber Tresner of Tennessee, Glenn Tresner of Stilesville, Ind., and Bill Tresner of Clayton, Ind.; a sister, Norma Dorney of Paris, Ill.; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; several nieces; and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home in Dana, with Pastor David Wickens officiating. Burial will be in Bono Cemetery in Dana. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and before services Tuesday.
