Wanda Hausman, 73, of Indianapolis died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at 2 p.m. in Methodist Hospital. She had been battling kidney failure for some time.
Born Feb. 14, 1930, in Center Point, she was the daughter of Alva and Altha Wells Ballinger.
She graduated from Staunton High School in 1948 and later married Paul Hausman. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Michael and Sue Hausman of Indianapolis, Nancy and Leo Schubert of Coatsville, Victoria and Ralph Weatherford of Indianapolis, Jayne and Randy Cummings of Fillmore and Richard Hausman of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Jason, Paul, David, Matthew, Jacob, Eric, Andrea and Joshua; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Charlotte Butts and husband, Gene, of Marietta, Ga., Patty Harpold of Brazil, Karen Ripple of Staunton and a brother, Dale Ballinger, of Brazil; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Paul, on July 14, 1986.
Services will be Saturday at Lawson-Slack Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Brother Doug Parkey officiating. Burial will follow in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
