Helen F. Harvey, 79, of Greencastle, Ind., died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Putnam County Hospital.
Born Feb. 13, 1924, in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Homer and Esther (Standley) Williams. On Nov. 29, 1943, she married Robert Harvey, who died in 1974.
She worked at DePauw University as a cook in Longden Hall for 15 years, had been a foster parent and had babysat until 1993. She was a member of the Greencastle Church of God for 30 years.
Survivors include two sons, Dallas E. Harvey and wife, Judy, of Greencastle and Keith Ray Harvey of Cloverdale; three daughters, Janice Morisett and husband, Jim, of Wabash, Ind., Marsha F. Harvey and Connie Ann Neeley and husband, Gary, both of Greencastle; three sisters, Edna Flo Young and husband, Tom, of Greencastle, Linda Lou Morrisett and husband, Roy, of Decatur, Ill., and Dorothy Merrill and husband, Ed, of Tipton, Ind.; a brother, David Williams, and wife, Bernetta, of Greencastle; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Her parents, husband and sisters, Mary Mildred Covert and Alice Kay Harnton preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Gorham officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
