Mark E. D. VanZant, 26, of Browling Green, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Aug. 29, 1977, in Bloomington, he was the son of Ronald W. and Sandra K. Fleener VanZant.
He attended Ivy Tech State College in the Automotive Technology course of study at the time he died. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his daughter.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Margaret Orman, William VanZant and Byron Fleener.
Survivors include his mother and her husband, William Gonterman, of Ellettsville, Ind.; his father and fiancee, Dana Sirend, of Hot Springs, Ark.; a daughter, Jayden Nikole Jene VanZant and her mother, Pamela Jene Bywater; two sisters, Tina Bishop and husband, Michael, of Lombard, Ill., and Jennifer Jones and husband, Jason, of Clayton, Ind.; a brother, Martin VanZant, of Terre Haute; a step-sister, Jaime Gonterman, of Florida; a step-brother, Joey Gonterman, of Bloomington; a grandmother, Olliemay VanZant, of Indianapolis; and several other extended family members.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday.
