Julia Ann (Beard) Halsmer, 53, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004.
Born on June 27, 1950, in Lafayette, Ind., she was the daughter of Dorothy Conrad and Dwight G. Beard, who have preceded her in death.
She married Richard Halsmer on June 10, 1972. He survives.
She was a registered nurse and had worked at St. Vincent Hospital in Caramel, Ind.
She was a member of the Church of Praise in Westfield, Ind., and was active with the Greyhound Homeward Bound Association. She graduated Rossville High School in 1968, and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1973.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her stepmother, Sue Beard, of Kingman, Ariz; two daughters, Amanda Halsmer, of West Yellowstone, Mont., and Marlena Halsmer, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., a stepbrother, Jeffery Adams, of Kingman, Ariz.; three brothers, Charles Beard, of Rossville, Ind., and Timothy and Mark Beard, of Kingman, Ariz.; a sister, Billie Hoffman, of Kingman, Ariz.; and a granddaughter, Mariah Golder, of Lehigh Acres, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, in Noblesville, Ind. There will be no visitation.
