Doris M. Lee, 70, of Carbon, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at 4:22 a.m. in the emergency room of St. Vincent Clay Hospital.
She was born May 1, 1933, in Parke County, the daughter of Seldon Franklin Miller and Myrtle Lorene Craig Miller.
She graduated from Bridgeton High School. She married Charles Junior Lee; he preceded her in death in 1989.
She worked for several years in the Clay County Hospital's Laundry Department.
She attended Bible Fellowship Church and enjoyed sewing and crafts. She loved to feed the birds outside her home. She also enjoyed watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by her son, Charles Eugene "Gene" Lee and wife Jody of Brazil; three daughters, Sue Hoopingarner, also of Brazil, and Marla Day and husband Raymond and Mona Lee, all of Carbon; grandchildren, Bobby Day, Ashley Day, Erica Hoopingarner, Billy Hoopingarner, T.J. Lee, Travis Turner and Tony Turner; three brothers, Roland Miller and wife Charlene of Carbon, Don Miller and wife Virginia of Brazil and Bob Miller and wife Joan Miller of Rosedale; one sister, Ann Knox of Brazil; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Roland Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Run Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 to 1 p.m.
