James Baughman, 91, of Pearcy, Ark., formerly of Clay County, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2004, in a Hot Springs, Ark., nursing home.

Born in Jackson Township on April 12, 1912, he was the son of Frank and Emma Baughman.

He retired from Alcoa in Benton, Ark.

His hobbies included woodworking, making chairs, tables, cedar chests and many other pieces.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Baughman, and wife, Sandy, of Pearcy, Ark.; a granddaughter, Kim Pinkerton, and husband, Bryan, of Texas; two great-grandchildren, Cade and Kendall, of Texas; three nieces, Ruth Miller and Lenora Kearschner, of Brazil, and Ruby Cooney, of Avon, Ind.; and a nephew, James Fisher, of Bella Vista, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rachel Marie Fisher, of the Hoosierville area, and a grandson, Bryan Baughman.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton, Ark.
