Virginia Ann "Ginny" "Nana" Smith, 63, of Clay City, died unexpectedly at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at home.

Born June 15, 1940, in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Clifford and Leatha Watkins, who have preceded her in death.

On Jan. 31, 1960, she married Ted B. Smith in Lyford, Ind. They moved to Clay City from Cory in 1985. A homemaker, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending quality time with her family.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jordan Allen Campbell, in 1993.

Survivors inlcude her husband, Ted B. Smith, of Clay City; a son, Ted B. Smith Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Bloomington; two daughters, Penni A. Campbell and her husband, Michael, of Center Point and Tina A. Weber and her husband, Robert, of Clay City; grandchildren, Jeremy Smith and his fiancee, Jackie Martz, Derek Smith, Joel Campbell, Katrina Campbell, Dana L. Weber and Dakotah D. Weber; a great-grandson, Jacob Martz; and her father- and mother-in-law, Russell E. and Anita L. Turner, of Brazil.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City, with Pastor John Like officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
