Brett A. Lundy, 23 of Terre Haute died at 4:52 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, due to kidney failure at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

He was born to James W. and Carla Zukunft Lundy on June 20, 1980, in Terre Haute. He loved to attend church and enjoyed gospel music, and he especially enjoyed listening to children's Christian songs. For several years he attended North Union United Methodist Church and occasionally Union United Methodist Church and the Nazarene Church of Brazil. Most recently he attended Maplewood Christian Church or the Eastside Church of Christ in Terre Haute.

Brett attended Clay County Learning Center before starting in Special Education at Forest Park Elementary. From 1991 to 2000 he resided at Havan Center in Shelbyville, IN and attended Blue River Valley Special Education in that facility. In 2000 Brett was moved to Lakeview Nursing Facility in Terre Haute and attended North High School Special Education until his completion in June 2002. He was then transferred to Meadows Manor North until January 2003 at which time he associated with Mosaic (formerly Martin Luther Homes) supportive living program. He attended Spectrum Industries for a short period of time before going to Happiness Bag Adult Day Care Program in Terre Haute.

Brett was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard D. and Hazel Lundy.

He is survived by his parents of Terre Haute; brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Alison Lundy of Lopez Island, Washington; grandparents Carl and Wege Zukunft of Brazil; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be 4 -- 8 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday with burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visit www.moorefuneralhome.us for more information or to send a card of condolence.
