Betty Neville, 50, of Brazil died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at her residence, from cancer
She was born Jan. 17, 1954, in Brazil, the daughter of Oscar Joseph Bayer and Betty Jean Hardman Bayer.
She worked at the Clay County Health and Rehabilitation Center for many years in the dietary department. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Neville.
She is survived by three brothers and a sister, Oscar Bayer Jr., Earl Lee Bayer Sr. and wife Patricia, Philip Wayne Bayer and Vera Jane Bayer; one son and one daughter, Robert Lynn Neville and wife Angela and Dara Lynn Neville and fiancee Byron South; and grandchildren Bethany Rose Pruner, Alexandria Sue Neville, Mikayla Ruth Pruner and Scotlyn Jane South.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lawson-Slack Funeral home, with the Rev. Dave Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday prior to the service.
The family requests that donations be made to the cancer charity of choice.
