Christopher Sears, 27, of Terre Haute, formerly of Broken Arrow, Okla., died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at 1:55 a.m. He was killed while walking down U.S. 40 in West Terre Haute.

He was born July 11, 1976, in Vigo County, the son of Jack Leon "Sonny" Sears Jr. and Sharon Ann Snavely. He lived in Broken Arrow as a young boy, then came back to Vigo County, graduating high school at Terre Haute North.

He was currently working as a bouncer for the Illiana Bar in West Terre Haute. He enjoyed motorcycles, working on cars, fishing and traveling with family. He had also worked at Burger King on East Wabash Ave., Terre Haute, in the past.

He is survived by his father in Broken Arrow; his mother, Sharon Morris, and stepfather, John, of Terre Haute; his children, Brandon, Kaitlynn, Tristin and Alison; grandparents, Jack and Mary Sears and Ivan and Martha Snavely; one brother, Josh Sears; one sister, Cherylann Stephens; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

At his request cremation is to take place. The family will be gathering at the home of his parents, 1607 Oak St., Terre Haute, on Saturday at noon to celebrate his life.
