Mildred F. barnett, 88, of Knightsville passed away Friday morning at the Cloverleaf Healthcare Nursing Home in Knightsville.

Born July 12, 1915, in Limedale, Ind., she was the daughter of Arthur and Emma McMurry Early.

On Oct. 11, 1932, she married Otto Barnett and he preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1982.

She retired from the Angwell Curtain Factory in Greencastle, Ind. She attended Croy's Creek Church, was a member of the Reelsville Methodist Church and AARP. She was a volunteer worker at the Senior Center Clothing Storeroom and Putnam County Senior Citizens.

Survivors include three daughters, Helen Martin and husband, Ralph, Retta Miller (both of Reelsville) and Edna Love of Brazil; a son, Harold Barnett and wife, Jan, of Greencastle; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Her parents, husband, a son, James Williams Barnett, and a sister, Kate Reynolds, preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Boone-Hutcheson cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
