Paul E. Bailey, 68, of Brazil, died Monday, March 15, 2004, at 6:50 a.m. at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
He was born March 2, 1936, in Sullivan County to Ray and Edna Hunt Bailey. His father passed away when he was an infant, and he was raised by his stepfather, Raymond Kasinger.
On June 6, 1976, he married Deborah L. Moss in Clay County.
He was self-employed in the trucking industry for many years, and also operated heavy equipment at the Bicknell Minerals mine. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He took his family on many trips across the country and into Canada and Mexico.
He is survived by his wife of Brazil; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Laurie Bailey of Brazil; one daughter and son-in-law, Talitha and Keven Warrick of Seelyville; six grandchildren, Breanna, Braxton and Brody Bailey and Kristian, Tyrzah and Mareena Warrick; one brother-in-law, Dewayne Moss of Farmersburg; and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diana and Terry Walden of Clay City.
He was also preceded in death by his mother; his stepfather; his father-in-law, James V. Moss; and her sister-in-law, Julie Ann Moss.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lawson-Slack Funeral Home with Mike Call officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Riley. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again Thursday prior to services.
