Olive Higgins, 87, of Brazil, died March 17, 2004, at Clay County Health Center.
Born June 17, 1916, in Robinson, Ill., she was the daughter of Charles and Lillie Gowin Brush.
She enjoyed sewing and travelling. She was employed at Clay County Hospital, where she retired after 15 years of service as a cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Byrl; two daughters, Nedra May and Shirley Higgins; and four brothers, Otis Brush, Raymond Brush, Buck Brush, and Vic Brush.
She is survived by three daughters, Sue and husband Sid Hart, of Woodland Wa., Mary and husband Mark Cooper, of Brazil, and Judy Caress, of Cory; one sister, Mary Trostle, of Joliet, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, Ill., Sunday at 2 p.m., with visitation from 1 p.m. until time of services. Local visitation will be at Miller Memorail Chapel Saturday, March 20, from 4-8 p.m.
