Terry Vanatti, 46, of Rosedale, Ind., died unexpectedly at 4 a.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004, in his residence from natural causes. The death was investigated by the Vigo County Coroner's office.
Born in Clay County on July 11, 1957, he was the son of Dorothy Kidwell Vanatti and the late Merlyn Vanatti.
He had served in the U.S. Air Force and had been employed at the Sony Corp. in Terre Haute until becoming disabled with poor health. An avid outdoorsman, he particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Dixon Vanatti; his mother; three sons, Terry Shane Vanatti and wife, Shanna, of Dana, Boe Jeffrey Vanatti of Terre Haute and Jeremy Kinder and special friend, Kim Miller, of Farmersburg; three sisters, Kimberly Reel and husband, Joey, of Muncie; Angie and Beverley Vanatti, both of Brazil; three grandchildren, Amy Dianna, Devin Tyler and Dalton Kyle Vanatti; a niece, Krista Vanatti; three nephews, Eric, Brock and Neil Vanatti; a grandfather, William Kidwell; and a large, extended family.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Miller Memorial Chapel with Pastor Phoebe Kidwell officiating. Interment will be in Bee Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. tonight.
