Kathryn E. Siegelin, 94, formerly of rural Brazil, died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2004, in Cloverleaf Healthcare, Knightsville, where she had been a patient for six years.
Born in Brazil on May 11, 1909, she was one of 12 children born to William Trout and Minnie Lawrence Trout.
On June 12, 1929, she married Melvin Siegelin, who preceded her on Oct. 3, 2002.
She was a member of the Berea Christian Church, and had been a homemaker all of her active life.
Besides her husband, preceding her in death were eight brothers, Virgil, Guy, Ed, Otis, William, Bryan, Ira and Roy Trout; and three sisters, Edith Dierdorf, Cecil Purcell and Ruby Trout.
Surviving are four sons, William Ray Siegelin and wife Betty, Orlando, Fla., James G. Siegelin and wife Rosemary, Brazil, Darrell Siegelin and wife Elizabeth, North Vernon, and Terry D. Seigelin, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; one daughter, Madonna McHargue, rural Brazil; one sister-in-law, Florence (Ed) Trout, Brazil; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Miller Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Richard V. Pippin officiating. Interment will be in St. John's cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.
