George "Clifford" Fulk, 61, of Brazil, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at 6:34 p.m. at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He had been failing in health for some time.
He was born in Clay County on March 18, 1943, the son of George Wesley Fulk and Virginia Nadine Murphy Fulk. He graduated from Reelsville High School, Class of 1961. On Oct. 19, 1962, he married Paula Lovins Fulk; she survives.
He was a farmer and hauled livestock. He raised cattle and hogs. He also was a breeder of rat terrier dogs. He was a member of the Brazil Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed watching western movies and followed Nascar racing.
He is also survived by two daughters, Katherine Fulk of Brazil and Rebecca Harney and husband Dallas of Rosedale; two grandsons, Benjamin James Fulk and Mason Ray Harney; two brothers, Gerald Long of Rosedale and John Fulk of Linton; two sisters, Linnea Fulk and Grace Elliot, both of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Fulk; and grandparents, Clifford and Rebecca Murphy.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at French Funeral Home with Pastor Al Dicer officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again Monday prior to services.
