Born Dec. 31, 1910, in Salisbury, N.C., she was the daughter of John Thomas Love and Susan Elizabeth Pace Love.
Memberships included Lena United Methodist Church, a 50-year membership in Salisbury Chapter 117 of the Order of Eastern Star and membership in the Tri-County Extension Club.
On Sept. 29, 1958, she married Howard Randall Adamson. He preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1993.
Survivors include a brother, Edgar Robert Love, of Greensboro, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Leslie Love, of Salisbury; two stepdaughters, Ellen Thomas and Ethel Watt; two stepdaughters-in-law, Marie and Delilah Adamson; nieces, nephews, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Paul, Thomas and Tince Love; a sister-in-law, Laverne Love; two stepsons-in-law, Gerald Thomas and Byron Watt.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Lawson-Slack Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Kumpf and Jay Wayne Love officiating. Burial will follow in Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home with Eastern Star services at 7 p.m.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be a donation to the Lena United Methodist Church or their favorite charity. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
