Soon after arriving in Brazil, she met Robert Tiffey Moore. They were married Jan. 25, 1941. She assisted her husband, Bob, in the operation of the family funeral home. She and her husband were members of the Indianapolis Mustang Club and enjoyed traveling to meetings in Indianapolis and to I.U. football games in their award winning 1965 Mustang.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Presbyterian Women's Organization and Women's Circle. She was a third generation member of the Women's Reading Club, and a member of Tri-Kappa Alpha Associate Chapter, Clay County R.N. Club and the Clay County Historical Society where she had served as a board member.
