DOROTHY HELEN SUMMERS

Dorothy Helen Summers, 61, of Brazil, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

She was born July 6, 1942, as the daughter of Johnie E. and Dorothy Mae Batchlor Bryan.

She graduated from Brazil High School in 1961. She worked for several years as a cook at the Clayton Café. She was a member of Eastern Star 419 of Plainfield and attended Brazil United Pentecostal Church.

Her grandparents, Johnie and Cora Bryan; her parents; husband Enos Q. Summers; and two aunts, Geraldine Bryan McIntire and Maxine Bryan preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Nathan Summers and wife Shonda of Plainfield, Forrest Summers and wife Beth of Plainfield and Shane Summers and wife Andi of Brazil; brother, Ernest W. Bryan and wife Nancy; four half brothers, Robert G. Bryan and wife Reba, Terry M. Bryan and wife Karen of Brazil, Johnie A. Bryan of Brazil, and Brady L. Bryan and wife Arlene of Brazil; three stepsisters, Janice Summer of Brazil, Sue Hyde of Brazil and Theresa Hyde of Turner; one uncle, John O. McIntire of Brazil and beloved companion of seven years, Mitchell B. Jackson; five grandchildren, Kenneth, Jesse, Joshua, Tara, and Alyssa Summers; six stepgrandchildren and 27 nieces and nephews also survive her.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 11th at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday with Bro. Carl Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Stilesville Cemetery. Visit www.moore-funeral-homes.com for more information or to send a card of condolence.
