Born Aug. 30, 1913, in Glenn Aire, Vigo County, Ind., she was the daughter of George and Minnie Parker Rockliff.
She graduated from Brazil High School in 1931 and owned and operated the Mary Mart Ceramics shop on West U.S. 40, where she sold and taught ceramics for 40 years.
She was a member of Forest Avenue United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin Murphy, in 1977; a brother, Gayle W. Rockliff; and a cousin, Iona Rockliff of Terre Haute.
Survivors include cousins, Barbara Reece of Brazil, Jack Tucker, Rex Tucker and James Andrew and wife, Margorie, of Ames, Iowa.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Friday with funeral services at 3 p.m. in Moore Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Summit Lawn Cemetery.
