Vyrl Lynch, 90, of Terre Haute, died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2004, in Davis Gardens Health Care Center.
Born in Shelburn, Ind., on Jan. 22, 1914, she was the daughter of Burley Everett and Ethel Annis Wilkinson.
She was a graduate of the former Garfield High School and had been a bookkeeper for Parks Purity Pies, Valentine Packing Co. and Reuben Donnelly.
She loved to travel with her husband, having been to all the states, Canada and Mexico. She also enjoyed attending the pastors' luncheons at Westminster Village.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ray Wilkinson, Thelma Archer, Delta Wirtz, Gladys Peperak and Dolly Jones; and her husband, Donald Lynch in 2001. He had once lived in Clay County.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Louise and Joseph Heck, of Terre Haute; a grandson, Rick S. Lucas, and wife, Rhonda, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; a great-granddaughter, Robin M. Lucas, and a great-grandson, Reid P. Lucas, also of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; a sister, Lucille Nyers, of Terre Haute; a brother, Ivan Wilkinson, and wife, Edna, of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be in DeBaun Springhill Chapel at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Bernie Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Donations can be made to the Terre Haute First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
