Claude "Buck" Ramsey Jr., 82, of Brazil, formerly of Terre Haute, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Union Hospital.
He was born May 17, 1921, to Claude Ramsey Sr. and Grace Liggett Ramsey in West Terre Haute.
He worked as a union electrician for Local 725 for 30 years. He was a member of the Masons, William Penn Lodge No. 727 for 50 years, the Shrine and Wabash Valley Scottish Rite. He served during World War II with the Air Force in the European Theatre.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emma L., on Dec. 4, 2003; and one sister, Pearl Joy.
He is survived by two sons and their wives, Kevin and Robbin Ramsey of Brazil and Larry and Joyce Ramsey of Rockville, Ind.; two daughters, Pam and husband, Ronnie Norris, of Huffman, Texas, and Tiffany McDole of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Ronnie Norris, Shaun Ramsey, Brandy Park and Reggie Sanders; and one great-granddaughter, Sierra Tomich.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton St., Terre Haute. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. VFW Post 972 will conduct military services. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
