James W. Naim, 69, of Brazil died May 23, 2004, at the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born July 14, 1934, in Cardonia, in Clay County. He was the son of William and Ruth Lambert Nairn. He graduated from Van Buren High School, class of 1952. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. He worked at Great Dane and for Oxide Chemical and had last worked as a carpenter.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 2, VFW 1127, the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge in Brazil.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Dickerson, of South Charleston, Ohio; two granddaughters, Lyndsay Dickerson and Lea Dickerson; two sisters, Agnes Urbain of Bridgeton, and Linda Love of Terre Haute; one nice, Kathy Crague; and one nephew, Troy Urbain.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At his request, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held Saturday at noon at French Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services.
