Misty Dawn Clingerman, 19, of Brazil, formerly of Cedar Lake, Ind., died Monday, May 24, 2004, following an accident on SR 59.

She was born April 8, 1985, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Bruce Clingerman and Cheryl Brown Clingerman Hunt. She attended school through her senior year at Cedar Lake, before moving to Brazil with her family. She attended Northview High School her senior year.

She worked at Gas America in Brazil for close to a year. She was currently working as a waitress at the Brazil Family Restaurant.

She enjoyed writing poetry, doing crafts and painting. She loved animals of all types and always took in stray dogs, cats and any other creature. She enjoyed spending time at home with family.

She is survived by her mother and her stepfather, Bob Hunt, of Brazil; her father, of Mecca; one sister, Kaycee Hunt; one brother, Johnathon Hunt; three aunts, Judy Bayles of Brazil, Carol Wilson of Lafayette, Ind., and Nina Tingley of Martinsville, Ill.; one uncle, Jerry Morlan of Brazil; and several cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at French Funeral Home. At her request, cremation will follow. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 p.m. until time of service.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Clay County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
