William "Bill" J. Angleton, 80, of Danville, Ind., formerly of Brazil, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Hendricks Community Hospital. He was born April 25, 1924, in Brazil, the son of Otis and Agnes Mayfield Angleton. On Dec. 13, 1943, he married Emma Schlatter Angleton. She preceded him in death Aug. 1, 1997.
He graduated from Brazil High School. As a young man, he worked at Arketex and then Anaconda. He retired from Pillsbury in 1986. He was the maintenance supervisor there. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and a member of the Brazil Kingdom Hall for over 57 years.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Deborah and Robert Officer of Danville, Ind.; one granddaughter, Kimberly Kirby; one grandson, Kevin Angleton; one daughter-in-law, Linda Angleton; one sister-in-law, Pat VenDeventer; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one grandson, Joseph Officer and a stepbrother, Buster Brown.
Services will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel with Rick Herron speaking. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to services.
