Max Lee Martin, 64, of Greencastle, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, in Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle.
Born Sept. 19, 1939, in Parke County, he was the son of Hobert Everett and Laura Viola May Martin. He was a graduate of Van Buren High School in 1957 and married Marilyn Mann Martin on Oct. 1, 1960, and she survives.
He was employed by IBM in Greencastle for 32 years, retiring in 1987. He had recently farmed with his son in Madison Township of Putnam County.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Mann Martin; a son, Michael Lee Martin and wife, Sally, of Greencastle; a daughter, Melanie Martin Boesen of Greencastle; two sisters, Dorothy Snider and husband, Bernard, and Florence Alexander and husband, Harvey, both of Greencastle; a brother, Ralph V. Martin and wife, Helen, of Reelsville; two grandchildren, Jerry Lee Martin and Kate Elizabeth Martin, both of Greencastle; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Jack E. Martin, Alfred Martin, Merle Martin and infant brothers Leslie Carle and Kenneth Dale Martin.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
