Inez A. Parker, 84, of Greencastle, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at the Putnam County Hospital.

Born April 27, 1920, in Lena, Ind., she was the daughter of Isaac Wise and Katherine Ellen Miller Morlan. In July, 1939, she married Thomas D. Parker and he survives.

She had worked for 20 years as a cook for the Fillmore Schools and for the Sigma Nu and Lambda Chi fraternities at DePauw University. She was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Greencastle.

She will be remembered for her cooking, sense of humor and love of family.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Ellen Snyder and husband, Don, of Bloomington and Mary Ann trackwell and husband, Brad, of Patricksburg; tghree sons, Thomas D. Parker Jr. and wife, Carol, of Spencer, Larry Parker andwife, Marilyn, of Greencastle and Fred Parker and wife, Janis, of Unionville; three sisters, Nellie Chavis of Rockville, Ruth Meadow of Indianapolis and Katheryn Trackwell of Brazil; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her parents, a brother, Ralph Morlan, and a sister, Teena Sawyer, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Gramble officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, 4-8 p.m.
