Richard Franklin Evans, 63, of Brazil, died 8:50 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Holly Hill Healthcare.

Born May 24, 1941, in Clay County, he was the son of Renus F. and Rebecca Moore Evans, who have both preceded him in death.

He attended Brazil High School. Following high school he worked for Pepsi as a truck driver until his retirement.

Surviving are two sisters, Debbie Judd and husband Bob of Loudon, Tenn., and Peggy Merryman and husband Rudy, of Kokomo, Ind.; three nieces; one nephew; and nine step-nieces. He is also survived by one aunt, Dorothy Best, of Greencastle, and two uncles, Bob Moore, of Brazil, and Phil Moore, of Hilton Head, S.C.

Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home. At the request of the deceased, his body will be cremated. Donations may be made to the Brazil City Parks Non-Reverting Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
