William Arthur Groner died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in Houston Texas.
He was born on a farm near Brazil, Indiana February 11, 1926. He was the youngest of four children born to Bertha Buck and Arthur Groner.
After graduating from Brazil High School in 1944, he joined the United States Air Force where he was a tail gunner on a B-17 Bomber. After the service he attended Indiana University where he was a faithful member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, acted in many school plays, and met and married Mary Louise Davis of Muncie, who preceded him in death. He managed the Davis Jewelry Company until 1958. He then became a salesman for West Chemical Products moving on to become their sales manager in both Indianapolis and then Cleveland, Ohio. He got back in the jewelry business in 1978 until he retired in 1995.
He leaves behind two sons, David and Matthew; and two grandchildren, Alaina and Andrew.
Services will be June 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie, Indiana. Please send memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, or your favorite charity.
