She was born Dec. 6, 1919, in Brazil to Harry H. and Ruth Moss Butts. On July 11, 1942, she married Raymond Eugene Drake. She died just a few hours after their 62nd wedding anniversary.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Ashboro United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

A son, Harry H. Drake; and a brother, William Butts, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Hosea W. Drake and wife Cheryn of South Bend and Roger R. Drake and wife Jane E. of Terre Haute; one daughter, Euleta C. Blair of Hamlet; nine grandchildren, Joshua Drake, Chrystal Komp, Andrew Ray Drake, Rebecca Jane Drake, Benjamin Ray Blair, Jeremy Drake Blair, Scott Maesch, Brett Maesch and Anne Maesch; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan, Kobi and Avril Komp; three sisters-in-law, Ruby Brewer of Florida, Lorena Drake of Brazil and Esther Drake of Sullivan.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in French Funeral Home, with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery.
