Larry Phillip McKenzie, 61, of Staunton, died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Born in Clay County on April 16, 1943, his parent were Robert McKenzie and Selma Hyde McKenzie.
His parents and two brothers, Orin Beddow and Leo McKenzie, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn McKenzie; one son, Larry Phillip McKenzie II and wife Vivian of Staunton; one stepson, Darryl Danforth of Mississippi; one daughter, Michelle and husband Gregg Chandler of Spencer, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Becky Doyle of Brazil and Christy and husband Jeff Harlan of South Carolina; two brothers, Gerald McKenzie of Terre Haute and Robert McKenzie Jr. and wife Bethel of Aurora, Colo.; two sisters, Marcella Reagin of Staunton and Marilyn and husband Jack Harrison of Staunton; five grandchildren, Garrett and Wyatt McKenzie of Staunton, Robert McKenzie, Toby and Malishia Chandler of Spencer; and four stepgrandchildren, Cole and Justine Doyle of Brazil, Neil Harlan of South Carolina and Dustin Danforth of Mississippi.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery in Brazil. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family requesting donations to be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
