Jean Curtis Beaber, 79, Greencastle, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at the Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle.
She was born in Putnam County, Oct. 24, 1924, to Walter L. and Nettie Ethel Hubble Tincher. She was married to Nathan Junior Curtis then Carlton E. Beaber. Both husbands preceded her in death.
She worked as a phone marketing representative for GTE in Fort Wayne and Greencastle. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the I.B.E.W. of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a step-son, Harold Stockton and a sister, Garnett Truesdel.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Stinnett and husband John, Brazil; two sons, Steven Curtis and wife Carolyn, Indianapolis, and Stanley L. Curtis, Cloverdale; two step-daughters, Dora Kolkorst and husband Bill, Phoenix, Ariz. and Juanita Borschading and husband Walter, Fort Wayne; a stepson, Ben Stockton and wife Sue, Florida; a sister, Eulalia Brewer, Stilesville, Ind.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Interment is in the Stilesville Cemetery in Stilesville.
