L. Darlene Brewer, 71, of Brazil, passed away Aug. 19, 2004, at 7:05 a.m. at her residence. She was born Dec. 29, 1932, in Moberly, Mo., the daughter of Ben and Sarah Boulware.
She graduated from high school and attended one year of college. She was the district manager for Perferred Risk Insurance. On Oct. 19, 1990, she married Kenneth Brewer who survives.
She was an active member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Center Point. She played the piano and was the choir director of the church. She was a member of the German Oberlanders Club in Terre Haute and the Cloverland Extension Club. She dearly loved music and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Stan Snell of Spring Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Sarah Whitehead and her husband Rex of Brazil; one grandson, Richard Stone of Calif.; one brother, Richard Howren and his wife Joyce, of St. Charles, Mo.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Pastors Ted Schory and Steve Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and again Monday prior to services.
