Walter L. Williams III, 23, of Carbon, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Oct. 2, 1980, in Brazil, he was the son of Walter L. Williams Jr. and Carolyn Stewart Williams.

He enjoyed working on the computer and playing computer games.

He was employed at Hoosier Handpack and had been an employee of Walden Inn at Greencastle.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his father, Walter "Walkie" Williams Jr. of Terre Haute; his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Charles Godsey of Carbon; a grandfather, Walter Williams Sr., of Hymera, a step-grandmother, Jerryann Williams of Hymera; a step-grandmother, Isabelle Otto, of Brazil; a sister, Jeannie Williams and her companion, Michael Buell, of Brazil; a niece, Mallory Renee Buell; two aunts, Rebecca Diane Williams and Jan Hartman and husband, Alan; an uncle, Tony Williams; two cousins, Heather Hartman and Angela Ave; a large extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Dale Williams, Robert Stewart and Jean Stewart.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in Miller Memorial Chapel with Brother Lyle Monnett officiating. Burial will follow in Clearview Cemetery.

Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home.
