Dorothy Pearcy, 86, of Brazil died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at 3:35 a.m. in Clay Health Center.

Born Jan. 13, 1918, in Brazil, she was the daughter of Monroe and Mary Rose Bettis Hall.

She attended Brazil High School.

Dorothy married George Thomas Pearcy who preceded her in death in 1967.

She worked for 40 years in the dietary department of Clay County Hospital and loved cooking for family and friends. She was well-known for her noodles and pies.

Survivors include her daughter, Georgia Blahut; a nephew, Jack Hall; three grandchildren and their spouses; a great-grandson; two stepgreat-granddaughters; many nieces; nephews; and other extended family.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Clearview Cemetery.

Lawson-Slack Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
