Irene Miller Amerman, 84, of Center Point, passed away, Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, in the Holly Hills Health Care facility.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Clay City First United Methodist Church, Jolly Neighbors Home-Ec Club, Clay City American Legion Auxiliary, Clay City VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Clay City Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Amerman was preceded in death by her husband, Verne; two grandsons, Baby Boy Amerman and Clint Amerman and a brother, Kenneth Miller.
Survivors include a son, Bob Amerman and wife, Kathie of Clay City; a daughter, Jan Howell and husband, Roger of Center Point; four brothers, Chester Miller and wife, Sue of Indianapolis, Glenn Miller and wife, Ruth of Clay City, Rex Miller and wife, Lois of Jasonville and Paul Miller and wife, Marilyn of San Clemente, Calif.; four sisters, Maxine Riggs and husband, Rex, of Coal City, Phyllis Huber and husband, Ernie of Terre Haute, Shirley Graham and husband, Don of Cloverdale and Judy Johnson and husband, Bob of Terre Haute; three grandchildren, Jacquie Amerman of Clay City, Claire Boggs and husband, James of Terre Haute, and Kimberly Howell of Bloomington; two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Gavin Boggs of Terre Haute.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Clay City. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
