He was known as a hard worker and for his farming. He operated a farm with his son, Jan, and was a member of Farm Bureau and the Clay City First United Church of Christ.
His son, Terry Lee Zurcher, and his parents, Peter and Verna Thomas Zurcher preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Collenbaugh Zurcher; a son, Jan Zurcher, of Clay City; two sisters, Laurena Tiefel of Clay City and Joann Zurcher of Riley; two grandchildren, Valire Zurcher of San Antonio, Texas, and Sam Zurcher of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Schoppenhorst Funeral Home with visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
