Born Feb. 5, 1933, in Brazil, she was the daughter of Grover Cleveland "Bunk" and Elizabeth Rodgers Grigsby Sr.
She was a homemaker and, in the 1950s, worked in production for Sarkes Tarzian in Bloomington, Ind., and then as a switchboard operator for Indiana Bell Telephone in Mooresville.
She was a member of Monrovia Church of the Nazarene.
She was also preceded in death by a son, James Edward Mong; brothers, Alfred, Clyde, Clifford, Grover, Cleveland and Everet Grigsby; and sisters, Essie Smith, Edna Holwald, Violet Wright and Lola Grigsby.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond E. Mong, of Mooresville, Ind., whom she married July 15, 1951; a son, Anthony Ray Mong, of Mooresville; daughters, Vickie Jo Harless and Betty Jo Mann of Mooresville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville, with the Rev. Darrell Dennis officiating.
Friends may call 3-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
