Alfreda Stearley Lambert, 89, formerly of Brazil, died 9:10 a.m. Feb. 3, 2004, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nev.

Born June 4, 1914, in Brazil, she was the daughter of Jessie and Minnie Neville White. She graduated from Brazil High School with the Class of 1931.

Following graduation from high school, she worked for several years at Meis Department Store in Terre Haute. She was married to George T. Stearley. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, who died June 21, 1943, and one son, William E. Stearley, who died June 22, 1995.

She is survived by daughter-in-law Marilyn Stearley of Henderson, Nev.; one grandson, Jeff Stearley and wife, Linda, of Henderson; one granddaughter, Stacy Villagrana, of Blacklick, Ohio; and three grandsons, Chad Cramer of Blacklick, Jason Stearley of Macungie, Pa., and Trevor Porter of Blacklick, Ohio.

At the request of the deceased, her body was cremated. A graveside service to bury her cremated remains and the cremated remains of her son William will be held at Summit Lawn Cemetery, 2:00 p.m., Saturday. The Rev. Lyle Monnett will officiate. Moore Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
