George H. Winters, 73, of Brazil, died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2004, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 4, 1931, in Clay County. He was the son of Charles and Irene Frazier Winters who have both preceded him in death.

Following high school Mr. Winters worked as a general laborer at area firms. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William and Charles Winters.

He is survived by four children, Kathleen Grubb of Illinois, Christine Patterson of Brazil, Candy Harmon of Brazil and Marcus Harmon of Greencastle and nine grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased, his body was cremated. Burial of his ashes will be 11 a.m., Saturday, at Redman Harmony Cemetery. The family will meet at Moore Funeral Home at 10:45 a.m. and process to the cemetery for the 11 a.m. service.
