Charlotte A. Sang, 73, of Brazil died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at 6:40 p.m. in the Union Hospital emergency room.
Born Aug. 9, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of Edward Keola Apa and Anna Faustino Apa. She was raised on the Big Island of Hawaii where she met and married Lani Ah Mook Sang. He died 1977.
Charlotte and her husband had a traveling Hawaiian Show and they toured the mainland in their early years. She later worked as a medical records staff member at different convalescent centers in California. She moved to Brazil 10 years ago to be with her family.
Survivors include six sons and two daughters, Lani Sang and wife, Gloria, of Oregon, Keola Sang and wife, Michelle, of California, Kalani Sang of Oregon, Mahi sang and wife, Rhonda, of Brazil, Kinau Sang of Brazil, Hala Sang and wife, Jeannette, of California, Mamo Marion of Brazil and Wailana Banker and husband, John, of Louisiana; 11 grandchildren, Tabatha Sang, Moane Sang, Leilani O'Brien, David Sang, Chris Reddy, Kylee Sang, Leialoha Tabasco, Keoni Hooker, Charlotte Banker, Falcon Sang and Sky Sang; three great-grandchildren, Reagan Rose, Lani K. Sang and Kelani Sang; two sisters, Nolia Kihoi and Pauline Stone of Hawaii.
At her request, cremation will take place and private family services will be conducted at a later date.
