Mark Steven Tanner, 50, of Brazil died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, in Brazil.

Born July 30, 1954, in Vigo County, he was the son of Russell Tanner and Florence (Stringer) Tanner. He married Pamela Royer, who survives.

Mr. Tanner was an Insurance Claims Adjuster for Farm Bureau Insurance.

Memberships included Terre Haute R.C. Club. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and fisherman. He participated in many walleye tournaments. He officiated high school football and basketball. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; his sons, Darrnel S. Tanner and wife, Angela, of Marshall, Ill., and Austin K. Tanner of Alburquerque, N.M; two brothers, Russell Tanner of Loveland, Colo., and Tay Tanner and wife, Midge, of Illinois; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Ryan, Kaya and Kendall Tanner; his father- and mother-in-law, Tom and Barbara Royer, of Clay City; and several nieces and nephews. His parents are deceased.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Kelley officiating. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
