Timothy "Tim" E. Campbell, 49, of Center Point, died at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born Sept. 5, 1955, in Rushville, Ind., he was the son of Julius Campbell and Frances Mahan Campbell. He grew up in the Terre Haute and Cory area and attended Clay City High School. He served as sergeant jetmaster in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1974-1977. In 1987 he moved to Los Lunas, N.M., and began his career as a roofing contractor. He married Doreen Tso-Olivas Campbell on Sept. 9, 1989; she survives. They moved back to Clay County in December of 2003 to be with extended family here.

He enjoyed being with family and friends, bass fishing, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife Doreen Campbell; two sons, Timothy Jason Campbell of Terre Haute, and Zachary Ursulo Campbell of Center Point; two daughters Angela Maehler and husband Mike of Terre Haute, and Dayna Louise Campbell of Center Point; two granddaughters, Lani Marie Campbell and Amaris Renee Maehler; a godson, Jacob Timothy Tso-Olivas; four brothers, Stephen Campbell, John Campbell and wife Cindy, Donald Campbell, and J.V. Campbell; three sisters, Pam Pershing, Mary Morse and husband Bill, and Julie Strijdhorst and husband Erik; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert, in infancy; and one sister, Linda Miller.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Annunciation Church in Brazil with Father Rob Hausladon officiating. Burial will be later at Nuestra Senora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo, N.M. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8pm at French Funeral Home and again Wednesday prior to leaving for the church at 10:45a.m.
