RICHARD W. HUMPHREY

Richard W. "Rick" Humphrey, 52, of Danville died Wednesday, at West Central Community Hospital in Clinton, Ind.

Born. Oct. 20, 1952, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Norma (Harvey) Humphrey and graduated from Brazil High School Class of 1971.

He was a heavy equipment operator and the head driller with the AMAX Coal Co., working in Dugger, Ind. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union and of the Operating Engineers. He served six years in the National Guard.

Survivors include his mother; two sons, Corey W. Humphrey of Lexington, Ky., and Robert "Bobby" W. Humphrey of Terre Haute; and a Lisa Mallory of Brazil.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, his father and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Woodlee officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
