\Alma Grace Hauser, 90, of Bowling Green died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Owen Valley Healthcare Center. She had been a resident there for several years.

Born June 9, 1914, in Owen County, she was the daughter of Preston A. Newport and Burilla Crabb Newport.

She graduated from Patricksburg High School. She married Lee Hauser, who is deceased. She attended Mt. Zion Church and enjoyed watching and feeding hummingbirds.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Fred Thomas of Center Point; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Ada Hauser, of Bedford, Texas; three grandchildren, Lewis Thomas Jr. and wife, Rhonda, Deborah Montague and Sam Thomas and wife, Cindy; three great-grandchldren, Adam Montague, Katie Montague and Jenny Thomas; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Alice Kay and Florence Pittman; and a brother, Kenneth Newport.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home with the Rev. Perry Mager officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation will be Friday from noon to 2 p.m.
