Catheryne Elizabeth Berry, 84 of Brazil, died at 9:55 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, in the St. Vincent Clay Hospital emergency room.

Born in Shepherdsville, Ind., she was the daughter of the late William and the late Eva Jane (Lucas) Kingery.

She was a homemaker and had attended the Church of Christ in Knightsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oakley Berry; one brother Everett Kingery; three sisters Florence Bennett, Mary Jane Carman and Margaret McCullough; a stepson, Ralph Berry, and his wife, Macile; and a stepdaughter, Bertha Newport, and her husband, Tom.

She is survived by her sister Rosemary Raab of Brazil; eight nieces and nephews; and several stepgrandchildren.

At the request of the family, no services will be held and her body will be cremated. Her ashes buried at a later date at Calcutta Cemetery.
