Ray H. Dome, 72, of Elwood, Ill., died at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at his residence.

Born June 16, 1932, in Evansville, Ind., he was the son of Marion Hardin Dome and Frances Winifred Pribble.

On Oct. 30, 1951, he married Margaret Mary Bussing in Brazil. They moved to Illinois where he was an oil well driller, a past member of IBEW Local 9 and was a general contractor in the Chicago area.

He was a well-known life member of the ITA and the ATA for 42 years.

Ray is survived by his wife, Margaret Mary Bussing; a sister, Martha Marie Wright of Brazil; a son, Dean Ray Dome, of Elwood; two daughters, Catherine Mary Barry and husband, Steve, of New Lenox, Ill., and Susan Rae Bles and husband, Gerrit, of Elmhurst, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Jon Anthony Dome, Jennifer Lyndsay Rhodes and husband, Justin, Steven Raymond Barry, Michael Scott Barry, Daniel Gerrit Bles , Dustin Matthew Bles, Andrew Raymond Bles; a great-grandchild, Taylor Michael Rhodes; and two nieces, Cynthia L. Jorgenson and husband, Gary, and Patricia M. Loudermilk and husband, Mark.

Private family services were held Friday with burial in St. Rose Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington, Ill.

Arrangements were by Reeves Funeral Home of Wilmington, Ill.
